How do I withdraw funds in the U.S?

As a U.S. service provider, you can receive payments from buyers anywhere in the world, and withdraw payments sent to your MyElance Account via ACH Transfer, check, Payoneer or PayPal.

Withdrawal by ACH Bank Transfer:

ACH bank transfers enable you to withdraw money from your MyElance account's available balance and make an electronic deposit directly to your U.S. bank account. ACH (Automated Clearing House) is an electronic payment and collection system used by many banks in the United States. Generally, you should allow 2 business days for an ACH transfer. There is no minimum transfer amount but ACH transfers are limited to U.S users making withdrawals only.

To make an ACH bank transfer you will need to locate your 9-digit ABA routing number, which you can find at the bottom, left-hand corner of any of your checks. The ABA routing number is usually followed by your checking account number. Check with your bank for details, if you have any trouble locating your ABA Routing number.

NOTE: To ensure that your withdrawal goes through, do not include dashes when you enter your routing number - use numbers only.

To make an ACH withdrawal:

1. Go to MyElance. If you are not logged in, enter your Elance username and password.

2.  Click on the 'My Account' link in the left menu column.

3.  Click the Withdraw Funds button and choose your bank account from the list.

4.  Click "Submit" button at the bottom of the ACH Transfer confirmation page to request your withdrawal.

Withdrawal by check:

1. Go to MyElance. If you are not logged in, enter your Elance username and password.

2.  Click on the 'My Account' link in the left menu column.

3.  Click the Withdraw Funds button and choose withdrawal method: Check

4.  Enter your 'pay to' information and mailing address. Click submit.

Your paper check will be issued the next business day but delivery times may vary depending on your location. Generally check delivery will take up to two weeks.

*Cancelled Check policy
It is very important that you provide the correct address information, and update that information from your Elance Account page if needed. Elance charges $15 per cancelled check if you request stop payment. Please allow at least 3 weeks for checks issued to the West Coast and 4 weeks for checks issued to the East Coast before requesting a stop payment.

Withdrawal by Payoneer (Elance Prepaid MasterCard)

Elance currently offers a Prepaid MasterCard through Payoneer. You may withdraw your available balance to your Elance Prepaid Mastercard . For more information on how to apply for an Elance Prepaid MasterCard, click here

1. Go to MyElance. If you are not logged in, enter your Elance username and password.

2.  Click on the 'My Account' link in the left menu column.

3.  Click the Withdraw Funds button and choose your Elance Prepaid MasterCard from the withdrawal method drop down list.

4.  Preview your withdrawal request and click the "submit" button to confirm your withdrawal

Note: There is a $20 withdrawal minimum

Withdrawal by PayPal

1. Go to MyElance. If you are not logged in, enter your Elance username and password.

2. Click on the 'My Account' link in the left menu column.

3. Click the Withdraw Funds button and choose your PayPal email address from the withdrawal method drop down list.

4. Preview your withdrawal request and click the "submit" button to confirm your withdrawal

Note: Your PayPal email address must be entered into your MyElance Account Details page prior to requesting a withdrawal of funds. If you would like to add your PayPal account details to your MyElance Account Details page, then you may do so by clicking the button "Enter New PayPal Acct". You will be required to log into your PayPal account as verification of account details.
